Fans believe favours at Justin Bieber's birthday party were aimed at Selena Gomez

It might have been years since Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber went their separate ways, but that hasn't stopped fans linking the pair at every possible opportunity.
The former couple have been in the spotlight again recently amid social media drama between Selena and Justin's wife, Hailey Bieber, who many people accused of making fun on Selena in a TikTok video posted in late February.
Selena announced she was taking a break from social media as the gossip continued to spread online, but now some fans are convinced Justin brought the tension into the real world in the form of party favours.

The singer celebrated his 29th birthday with a huge bash this weekend, with guests like Billie Eilish and The Kid LAROI in attendance while musicians like Leon Bridges, Harv, and Jules the Wulf took to the stage to perform.
A post on director Alfredo Flores' Instagram Story indicated Bieber wasn't the only one getting gifts at the event, as he appeared to hand his guests silver lighter party favours with an inscription which read: "I'm so thankful that I didn't end up with what I thought I wanted."
After an image of the favour was shared online, fans quickly zeroed in on the possible deeper meaning of the words and speculated that it could have been a dig at Selena.
In a post on Twitter, one person wrote: "Using your birthday party to try and throw shade at your ex like this is unhinged behavior. he is the real problem in all of this drama."
"It’s his birthday and for the souvenirs, he thought about Selena? yikes," another commented.
Not everyone is convinced that the favours are a reference to Selena though, with one branding those who believed the theory as 'delusional' as they shared a snap of the same lighter available to buy online, inscription and all.
Another commented: "Why are you guys making this about Selena Gomez."
The lighters weren't the only gift guests walked away with after Justin's birthday bash, though a personalised hoodie 'Bieber 29' is a little more difficult to speculate about.
Though many people are convinced Justin's mind is focused on his ex, he looked happy in a post showing him kissing Hailey as she celebrated his birthday, writing: "29 never looked so good Happy Birthday to you best friend! Words couldn’t possibly sum up all that you embody. So here’s to more joy, more travel, yummy food, adventures, more peace, fun, and most of all more love."
