Jamie Lynn Spears has revealed that she was 'mortified' after becoming pregnant while still a Nickelodeon star.
The mum-of-two, who is also the sister of pop icon Britney Spears, became pregnant at just 16 years old during her short stint starring as the lead in Zoey 101.
The father of the child was her high school sweetheart, Casey Aldridge, who was also just a teenager at the time.

Jamie Lynn appeared in Zoey 101 for four seasons and was joined by the likes of Victoria Justice, who went on to star in Victorious.
Created by Dan Schneider, the show which first aired back in 2005 spanned for 61 episodes until it finally came to halt in 2008.
The television programme went on to be one of Nickelodeon's most beloved shows winning three Young Artist Awards, two Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and a Neox Fan Award.

So, it was no wonder why fans were baffled when it wrapped after just three years of shooting - with many believing that star Jamie Lynn had something to do with it.
Jamie Lynn, 16 at the time, became pregnant just as she was entering the world of Hollywood.
Speaking to Nylon magazine back in 2020, she confirmed that she didn’t become pregnant until 'probably six months after we wrapped or something like that'.

Regardless, many fans blamed the young star and her pregnancy for Zoey 101 coming to an end.
"The show had already wrapped and there was never a negotiation to go into any more seasons," Jamie Lynn explained, "we were too old. It was done."
After filming finished, the actor revealed that she decided to 'hide away' during her pregnancy with her first daughter, Maddie.

She told the outlet: "When we did announce that I was pregnant, I did hide away for a little bit during that time and I didn’t have a phone. But of course, the paparazzi still found me."
Jamie Lynn continued: "In today's world, immediately I'd have my social media to post something, and it'd be cleared up."
The former-Nickelodeon star ended up staying with Casey but the pair eventually parted ways in 2010.
"You have your first love, or what you call love in high school," she said, "you think it's forever, and then, 'Oh my gosh, I'm pregnant'."

The 32-year-old remembered exactly how she was feeling when she broke the news to her family.
She thought: "I am mortified to have to tell my parents this and my family this. I do not care what TMZ thinks about it.
"That was all I was thinking about, 'These are the people I love that I have to tell, and also, I'm pregnant. There's a human being growing inside of me, and I'm so young, I'm almost a baby myself'."
Jamie Lynn has since gone on to have a second child when she and her husband, businessman Jamie Watson, welcomed Ivey Joan back in 2018.
The actor concluded: "I don’t want to feel like I have to hold myself back in any way because I can be a mother, I can be a wife, I can be a daughter, I can be a sister, and I can be an artist.
"I put so much into my personal life and really building that to be strong, that now it’s time for me."
