And just like that, Hilary Swank is a mum-of-two!
The 48-year-old actor has welcomed two bundles of joy, with her husband Philip Schneider, and she shared the news today with fans on social media.
Hilary kept fans up-to-date with her pregnancy journey with Instagram posts of her growing baby bump. Her last post, which was shared on 6 February, was a casual snap taken in what looks like her kitchen. "Oven’s heatin’ up, dough’s beginning to rise!!" she captioned the post, referencing her bump.

We now know just how close to giving birth she was at the time!
The star surprised the world with her pregnancy announcement during an interview with Good Morning America in October, revealing it was something she had 'been wanting for a long time.'
"I'm so happy to share it with you and with America right now", she said in the TV studio.
"This is something that I've been wanting for a long time and my next thing is that I'm going to be a mum! And not just of one, but of two!"
She added: "It's so nice to be able to talk about it and share it."
In an interview with Drew Barrymore on her daytime talk show, Hilary shared the incredible coincidence linking her babies' due date and her father.
“They’re due on his birthday. Yeah, I know,” she shared as her eyes filled with tears. Hilary's late dad, Stephen Michael Swank, died in October 2021. His birthday was 16th April.
Although the twins came a little earlier than the 16th, the couple couldn't be happier, with Hilary taking to Instagram to say: "It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. Happy Easter. Posting from pure heaven."
The caption was posted alongside a lovely picture of Swank, looking out over the ocean, twins in hand.
The two-time Best Actress Academy Award-winner currently stars in the ABC drama Alaska Daily and she attended the Golden Globe Awards in January wearing a floor-length green Prada gown and was pictured cradling her bump.
She received a Best Actress nomination for her role as a journalist in the show and although she didn't win, she wanted her fashion moment to be all about her bump. "When I spoke with Hilary about her vision for this look, she wanted to celebrate her baby bump and have the dress feel elegant and classic," her stylist, Thomas Carter Phillips told Vogue.
Alaska Daily debuted in October meaning that Hilary filmed a lot of scenes while expecting her babies. She kept her pregnancy a secret for 12 weeks and joked about some of her on-set behaviour which may have come across as a bit unusual before her co-workers heard the good news. “You don’t tell for 12 weeks for a certain reason. But then, like, you’re growing and you’re using the bathroom a lot and you’re eating a lot. I’m sure there’s been conversations, and when I get back to the set, people will be like, ‘Oh, it all makes sense now'," she told AP.
At the time of the promotional circuit for the show, Hilary had just finished filming episode five out of 11.
Hilary and her husband Philip started dating in 2016, and officially tied the knot in August 2018.
