Halle Berry hits back at trolls who criticised her naked balcony picture

The star had no time for the ageist comments

Halle Berry has hit back after an ageist troll attempted to criticise her over her recent naked balcony photo.

In case you missed it, the Oscar-winning star shared a snap of herself standing nude on her balcony while sipping on a glass of wine - and looking absolutely incredible, by the way.

Captioning the photo, Halle wrote: “I do what I wanna do,” alongside the red lips emoji.

The post was soon flooded with praise for Halle - and plenty of thirsty folks, too.

However, one troll, who clearly has too much time on their hands, quote retweeted the post writing: "Imagine being in you 50s, still posting nudes for attention in menopause when you should be chilling with the grandkids. Ageing with dignity is no longer a thing.”

Or maybe women are allowed to age however they want, and it’s absolutely none of your business?

Anyway, Halle was having none of it - she decided to do her own quote retweeting, sharing the troll’s words alongside the caption: "Did you guys know the heart of a shrimp is located in its head?"

The perfect shut down, if you ask me. Not even taking the time to address the troll’s ridiculous points. 10/10 - no notes. Her response now seems to have been deleted.

Fifty-six-year-old Halle has previously spoken about ageing as a woman, saying that society has it all wrong and that older women should be looked upon as ‘jewels’.

She told AARP: "We’re all going to get older. Our skin is going to shrivel up and we’re going to look different.

"I see things changing with my face and body, but I’ve never put all my eggs in that basket.

"I’ve always known that beauty is deeper than the physical body you’re walking around in.

"That’s going to fade, and I refuse to become someone who just tries to hold onto a youthful face and not embrace what’s most important about being beautiful - how you live your life, how you give back to others, how you connect to people, how you strengthen your mind, body and soul and nourish yourself, how you give in a meaningful way of yourself.

"The most beautiful people have something radiating inside.

"Women are told that when we reach a certain number, we’re no longer valuable. I believe the opposite. Society should look at us as jewels as we get older. Because the older women get, the more formidable we are."

What a woman - enjoy your wine, Halle.
