Fans React As Beyonce Drops New Album Cover

Fans React As Beyonce Drops New Album Cover

The Beyhive are not. okay.

Beyoncé fans are losing it after the pop idol dropped the cover art for her upcoming album in an Instagram post.

The album Renaissance will be Beyoncé's first solo album since the groundbreaking release of Lemonade in 2016, which went on to win a Grammy, a Billboard Music Award, and a BET Award.

The cover art for Renaissance features the superstar sitting poised on a glowing horse, wearing silver stilettos and not much else at all.

Announcing that her forthcoming record will be released on July 29, Beyoncé told fans and followers: "Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.

"It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment.

"A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.

"I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are."

Fans immediately flooded Bey's comment section with love, raving over the stunning cover art and preemptively thanking Queen Bey for the upcoming release.

One shook follower wrote: "Bb we needed a warning!!! 😭😭😭EAT!"

A second commented: "OKAY QUEEN OF THE WORLD", and a third admitted: "it’s the way you just made me damn near faint in this nail salon."

"This is probably the best post I have ever seen" penned a fourth.

Other fans couldn't believe that Beyoncé had written a full Instagram caption to discuss her upcoming record, typically opting to let the photo do the talking when she makes a rare Instagram post.

"I’m always honoured to get a caption from you" one fan told the superstar.

"THE QUEEN HAS SPOKEN" a second proclaimed.

"A caption?! Shakespeare could never" joked a third.

The cover art is reminiscent of the recent shoot that Beyoncé did for Vogue earlier this month, in which she sat proudly on the back of a stallion lit up in bright red in the centre of a dance floor.

Bey has already released the debut single from Renaissance - a feel-good house anthem that compels listeners to let their hair down, and ditch anything that no longer serves them.

Renaissance will be available to buy and download on 29 July.
