Hitch star Eva Mendes has explained why she's not 'comfortable' hitting the red carpet with her partner Ryan Gosling after more than a decade of dating.
With all the hype around Greta Gerwig's upcoming Barbie movie, Gosling is well and truly back in the spotlight - even if he is 'just Ken'.
To be fair, as one of Hollywood's biggest actors Gosling never really left the spotlight in the first place, but for the last 10 years he's proven incredibly skilled at avoiding the cameras when with his partner, Mendes.

The couple have become known for being among the most private in Hollywood, but Mendes gave fans an insight into their relationship with a post on Instagram in which she reminisced about when they fell in love.
She shared a clip showing the two actors together in the 2012 film The Place Beyond the Pines, but explained they 'did not meet on set'.
"The magic started way before but here’s a little magic captured on camera," Mendes explained.
Fans gushed over the little nugget of information, with many hoping that the post might be a sign of more to come.
One commented: "Eva, I wanto [sic] to be honest w u, but I really hope Barbie will get through the Awards Season just to see you w Ryan. I know, I'm a selfish and probably I dreamer, but I will never stop to dream about it!!"
But even if Barbie does rack up some nominations, Mendes responded to the comment to break the news that she and Gosling 'don't do those things together'.
She praised the fan for their 'cool comment', but explained: "Like these photos I’ve been posting, Im [sic] only comfortable posting because it’s already out there."
She then went on to clarify that by saying she's 'not comfortable', she means she doesn't want to expose their 'very private life that [they] value'.
Mendes preempted herself from being caught 'in a lie' by explaining that she and Gosling have previously walked the red carpet together, but only 'once', to promote The Place Beyond The Pines.
Though they've managed to keep many details about their lives under wraps, Gosling and Mendes are known to share two daughters together and are even thought to have tied the knot, with Mendes referring to her 'husband', Gosling, during a TV appearance last year.
It might not be every juicy bit of gossip fans are hopeful for, but there might still be chance to see the pair together in the future as Mendes added in one of her comments: "I’m still dying to do another movie with him though…"
