Ed Sheeran's fans are congratulating the singer and his wife after he announced the couple had welcomed their second child into the world.
The Bam Bam singer revealed he and his wife Cherry Seaborn are now the parents of another daughter, and are 'over the moon' with their new arrival.
Ed, 31, posted a picture of baby socks on Instagram with the caption: "Want to let you all know we've had another beautiful baby girl.
"We are both so in love with her."
Fans took to the comments to celebrate the news. One supporter expressed their excitement about the crooner’s new songs being inspired by his youngest daughter, saying: “Congrats Ed!! can't wait for the music you make that’s inspired by her.”
Another fan left three mind-blown emojis and wrote: “Congratulations Ed and Cherry. Lyra will be the best big sister ever to your little baby girl."
One woman commented: “Wow! Congratulations Ed and Cherry! So happy you have been blessed with another child!”
A fourth Instagram user shared: “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I CAN’T BELIEVE!!!! So happy for you guys!!”
Ed and Cherry, 30, are also parents to Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, who was born in 2020. The couple, who first met when they were classmates in secondary school, also surprised their fans with news of Lyra Antarctica's arrival.
Ed similarly announced his eldest daughter's arrival with a picture of baby socks on Instagram. He wrote at the time: "Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you… Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran."
Fans will have to wait a little longer to find out the name of the couple's second child.
Following the birth of Lyra Antarctica, people were left confused by the unique name and Ed visited Lorraine months later to reveal its meaning.
"I realize some people think it's quite a strange name," he told Lorraine in July last year. "But my wife's called Cherry, and she is the only Cherry that I've ever met, and I think that she's the only Cherry that she's ever met, and I quite like that. In my class at school, there were probably more Eds."
He admitted they 'just wanted to give her a name that was unique, so that she would be the only one'.
Congratulations Ed and Cherry!
