Dani Dyer Breaks Silence On Relationship With Jailed Ex Sammy Kimmence

Dani Dyer Breaks Silence On Relationship With Jailed Ex Sammy Kimmence

“I’ll always have a relationship with him.”

Dani Dyer has spoken out about her jailed ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence, saying the pair will always “have a relationship.”

The former Love Island star, 25, broke up with Kimmence after he was jailed for three and a half years after defrauding pensioners out of £34,000.

She is now raising the son they share, Santiago, on her own – but admits the pair are “tied together by blood.”

Speaking on the podcast that she hosts with actor dad Danny, Sorted With the Dyers, Dani explained: "You are never really friends with your ex-boyfriend.

“It’s a little bit different in my situation, like obviously, I will always have a relationship with Santi’s dad.

“But it’s very different when you have children. You’re tied together by blood and you’re always going to have a relationship there, which is different, but still there, there’s a line.”

Dani continued that, as a general rule, she just didn’t understand why some people wanted to remain pals with a former partner.

“You want to move on with your life,” she said. “You’ve split up for a reason and you’re never actually moving on. Why would you still necessarily want that connection and still wonder what they’re doing?

“There’s obviously still something there and they just don’t want to let each other go.”

EastEnders star Danny agreed. “There be the big flag that’s red that’s waving,” he said.

Dani, who shot to fame after winning the 2018 season of Love Island with her then-boyfriend Jack Fincham, responded with a firm no when she was asked whether she was still friendly with her exes.

“You don't need to be friends with your ex-boyfriend, unless you have a child. You don't need to have that connection,” she said.

"I just feel that when you're in a relationship with someone you have so many obstacles, you don't want to be worrying about an ex-partner.

"The next relationship I'm in, there will be no ex lingering around. She can go. There will be none of that."
