Rihanna Fans Hit Out After Chris Brown Appears To Send Her Message Of Goodwill

Fans were not happy.

Chris Brown appears to have sent a message of congratulations to Rihanna, after reports that she welcomed a baby boy earlier this month - but fans are not impressed.

On Thursday, TMZ reported that Ri and A$AP Rocky had welcomed their first child on 13 May.

Shortly afterwards, Rihanna's ex, Chris Brown, shared a message on his Instagram Stories, which fans believe was a congratulations message to the singer.

The message featured a praying hands and red heart emoji together, along with 'Congratulations' followed by a pregnant woman emoji below.

While the post has since been deleted, fans were not impressed by the apparent message of congratulations, with many taking to social media to vent their views.

One wrote: "Chris Brown has absolutely no business congratulating our Queen Riri on her baby’s birth."

While another said: "Chris Brown congratulating Rihanna on the birth of her baby boy is mad weird to me."

And a third added: "Not chris brown having the audacity to say congrats to rihanna."

Others didn't see a problem, however, with one adding: "I don’t understand how Chris brown congratulating Rihanna is a problem for some people."

Rihanna and Chris were together between the years of 2007 and 2009. He was charged after assaulting Rihanna the evening before the Grammy Awards in 2009.

He pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to five years probation and 1,400 hours of community service.

Chris Brown further acknowledged his actions in his 2017 documentary Chris Brown: Welcome To My Life.

Referring to the gruesome photo of Rihanna's injuries from the attack that circulated the media, he shared: "I look back at that picture and I’m just like: that’s not me. I hate it to this day - that’s going to haunt me forever.”
