Cher has sparked rumours she’s engaged to her 36-year-old boyfriend after posting a photo of a pretty stunning ring on social media.
Last month, Cher confirmed she was in a relationship with Alexander Edwards, a music producer 40 years her junior.
The 76-year-old - who was previously married to Sonny Bono until 1975, later tying the knot with Gregg Allman before divorcing in 1979 - posted a photo of her new beau on Twitter, writing: “Alexander,” adding a love heart emoji.

Someone asked her if this was her ‘new man’, she replied with a loved-up emoji, going on to share more details with others in the comments, including confirmation that they had first met during Paris Fashion Week.
The pair have now sparked engagement speculation, following a cryptic post on Twitter on Christmas Day.
Sharing a photo of a sparkling diamond ring, Cher wrote: “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E.”
In follow-up post, she also confirmed it was Edwards’ hand holding the ring box in the photo, saying: “I posted this cause his nails are so cool.”
While there was no detail about the nature of the supposed gift, many people were left wondering if they could hear the faint sound of wedding bells ringing.
One commented: “Oh well hello!!! CONGRATS Queen!!!!!!”
Someone else said: “Congrats sis!!!!!! Many blessings to you!!!! Merry and happy everything!!!”
A third asked: "Mrs Edwards?”
A fourth added: “Wait wait wait hold uppp!! Is that a diamond ring or a ring with diamonds???? What does it meeeaaaan?????????”
But while some were happy for Cher about the potential engagement, others expressed caution.
One said: “Congratulations, grab happiness with both hands, but have a pre nup too.”
Another commented: “Which finger and hand that ring going on, sister, bc I'd like to have a word with him. I need to know what his intentions are.”
Edwards is the vice president of A&R at the Def Jam Recordings, which boasts a roster of musicians including Rihanna, Pusha T, Nas, Public Enemy and Justin Bieber.
He was previously in a relationship with model and Slut Walk activist Amber Rose, with whom he shares three-year-old son Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.
After first being linked in 2018, the couple ended up splitting in 2021.
Despite their 40-year age gap, Cher has proudly defended their relationship, writing on Twitter last month: “As we All Know …I WASN'T BORN YESTERDAY, & What I Know For Sure… There Are No Guarantees. Anytime you make a Choice You Take a Chance. I’ve Always Taken Chances… It’s WHO I Am.”
When another expressed their concerns for Alexander’s ‘motives and intentions’, Cher hit back: “Haven’t you got anything else 2 do? Let me explain... I don’t give a f**k what anyone thinks.”
