Billie Eilish has reflected on what makes her 'feel sexy', explaining she 'didn't feel sexy for one second' when she went blonde.

The singer, 20, dyed her hair blonde back in March 2021 after having switched up her trademark green and black look.

Speaking about her style in an interview with Highsnobiety, Billie explained that she didn't feel good when she went blonde.

“I feel sexier when I dress masculine. I didn’t feel sexy for one second of being blonde,” she said.

“When I was blonde, people treated me differently. People completely changed their demeanor [around me].”

Billie added that the internet makes it tricky to get into 'stuff like this' which is also why she keeps her romantic relationships out of the spotlight.

“Falling in love is hard for me. It’s a spooky thing, love. It’s really spooky," she added.

“I think that people have taken me more seriously because I’ve had this more masculine [way of dressing] throughout my career. If I had been more feminine and girly, people would’ve been a lot less respectful of me.”

Billie also opened up about her relationship with The Neighbourhood singer, Jesse Rutherford.

Rumours first began swirling that the pair were dating earlier this year, after they were spotted holding hands in September.

"I just am really inspired by this person, and, you know, he's inspired by me,' she told Vanity Fair.

"It's really cool, and I'm really excited and I'm really happy about it. I managed to get my way to a point in my life where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest f**king f**ker alive, but pulled his a**! Are you kidding me? Can we just [get a] round of applause for me?

"I pulled his a**! All me! I did that s**t! I locked that motherf**ker down!"

The pair were criticised recently for their 'controversial' Halloween costumes, which appeared to poke fun at their 11-year age gap.

While Billie dressed up as a baby, Rutherford transformed into an old man, and it didn’t take long for Twitter to kick off.

Commenting on their outfits, one person remarked: “That Billie Eilish costume is extremely disturbing and I absolutely hate it every time it crosses my timeline,” while a second Twitter user echoed: “She's of legal age and all but this couple's costume feels uncomfortable."

However, others stuck up for Billie, leaving comments like: “Is there a reason why Billie Eilish isn't just allowed to live the life she wishes without other people voicing their opinions of her relationship.

"Just throwing it out there that maybe it's her choice to do as she wants, or is that such a crazy take?”
