Betty White's Heartbreaking Last Words Revealed

Betty White's Heartbreaking Last Words Revealed

Betty White sadly passed away last week.

Betty White's last word was the name of her late husband, Allen Ludden, a friend has said.

The actress sadly passed away last week at the age of 99, and, prior to her passing, a friend of Betty's has claimed she said the word 'Allen'.

Colleague Vicki Lawrence, 72, told Page Six that she contacted friend Carol Burnett, 88, following Betty's death.

"I texted Carol and said, 'This just sucks. I hate this. It’s just horrible to see the people you love so much go away'," she said.

"Carol wrote back and said, 'I know, I know. I spoke to Betty’s assistant, who was with her when she passed, and she said the very last word out of her mouth was Allen.'

"How sweet is that? I said, 'That is so sweet. God, I hope that’s true. For all of us, I really hope it’s true, a lovely thought'."

Betty was married to Allen between the years of 1963 to 1981, when Allen sadly died from stomach cancer at 63.

Betty never remarried after Allen passed away, explaining during an appearance on Larry King Now in 2014 that: "When you’ve had the best, who needs the rest?”

In an official statement, Betty's agent Jeff Witjas said she didn't fear death because she would be “with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden”.

“Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever," Witjas told People.

"I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much.

“I don't think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden.

“She believed she would be with him again."

Following Betty's death, a fake quote circulated online, claiming that she had had the booster jab a few days earlier. Speaking about this, Jeff set the record straight, adding that Betty's death 'should not be politicised'.

"People are saying her death was related to getting a booster shot three days earlier but that is not true," he said.

"She died of natural causes. Her death should not be politicised – that is not the life she lived."
