The Britain’s Got Talent judge was invited onto the stage during Britain’s Got Talent: Ultimate Magician.

Britain’s Got Talent winner Richard Jones pulled off the impossible in Sunday’s (18 December) episode when he asked the 51-year-old to name someone who meant a lot to her.

The mum-of-two daughters named Pippa Nightingale. When Richard asked who Pippa was, Amanda was overcome with tears as she replied: “She’s the woman who saved my life.”

Fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge and pop star Alesha Dixon also looked shocked as she watched Richard’s magic trick unfold on stage.

After taking hand of Amanda’s hand, Richard used his other hand to touch a mirrored box. A woman then came into view behind it.

When Amanda saw the woman, she burst into tears. It was Pippa.

The woman helped save Amanda’s life when she was in a coma after giving birth to her daughter, Hollie, 10.

In 2020, the occasional singer described how her life was saved by the NHS during her Heart Breakfast radio show.

“When I gave birth to Hollie, my eight-year-old daughter who I know is listening, she was an emergency and I haemorrhage, basically, and I actually did pass away for 40 seconds and then I went into a coma, but the NHS were there holding my hand and my husband’s hand, who – I feel sorry for him to be honest – he went through, it watching it all.”

Amanda recorded a cover of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' in 2020, with money going to NHS Charities Together which helped to support staff and volunteer workings as they served the public on the frontline during the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

Viewers at home were clearly moved by Richard’s act as they took to Twitter to gush about the emotional moment.

“How did Richard do that? OMG.” One viewer tweeted.
