Adele was absolutely shocked when a special guest turned up at one of the gigs during her Las Vegas residency – who was none other than Shania Twain.
In actual fact, Adele was just glad that Shania managed to keep a low profile, wearing a hat so that she didn’t draw too much attention to herself.
And it seems as if Adele is a huge fan of Shania’s work, given that she took time out afterwards to share a post to the singer thanking her for coming along, but also telling her that it’s a good job that she was trying to be discreet.

“Thank god you had a hat on @shaniatwain,’ Adele wrote on her Instagram Stories.
“I would have self combusted had I seen it was you!!
“I adore you, I can’t believe you came to my show.”
To be fair, Adele is one of the biggest artists going in the world just now, so Shania probably just wanted a piece of the action like everyone else.
We can’t be sure whether the gig impressed her much, but we can fairly safely assume that it did.
Shania isn’t the only famous face that has been spotted at Adele’s shows in the Nevada city, with Stormzy also raving about how good she’s been during the residency.
Speaking on Jonathan Ross’ TV show, the rapper said that the show in Sin City is ‘the best I’ve ever seen’.
Discussing his mate’s live show with Ross, he continued: “In terms of the intimacy of it.
“It was very like… you’re in there but it’s like a small theatre but it’s f***ing Adele,
“It’s got all the glitz and glamour like a massive arena show, but it’s in a small place and it’s kind of like, wonderful.
“Beautiful and spectacular and glamorous… I was like, chefs kiss.”
Adele is going to be powering on through into the new year with her show as well, with gigs scheduled for December 30 and 31, meaning that some folks will almost get to see in next year with her.
When she called out those dates, the 'Someone Like You' singer shared a picture of herself with a pair of 2023 glasses on and a bottle of champagne, captioning it: “New Years Eve has always been a let down for me, I seem to always end up spending it in a car on my way to or from somewhere!
“But not this year!! I’ll be ringing 2023 in on stage!!
“I dress up to the nines on NYE and I would love it if those of you that come would too!
“Let’s go all out black tie vibes.”
Adele’s Weekends with Adele residency has been a huge success so far, after loads of the dates were rescheduled due to Covid-19.
All good things come to those who wait, though.
