Joan Woodhouse credits one budget-friendly beauty buy for her youthful-looking skin.

Her granddaughter, Lydia, set up a TikTok account for her to share her skincare secrets, and her followers can't get enough.

And Joan certainly isn't one for fads and road-testing new products - in fact, she's been using the same £2 skincare product since she was just 16-years-old.

Her original video, which posted in July 2022, has gathered an impressive 1.7 million views and 99,000 likes.

Her granddaughter asks her: "Grandma, no one believes you're 92. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?"

Joan explains that she was born in September 1930 - though we are struggling to believe it ourselves.

She then says that she was just 16 when the first Nivea cream hit shelves.

Joan said: "My friend came to the house and she said, ‘This cream has just come out, Joan. Try it, it’s brilliant.'

"So I’ve used Nivea cream for years and years and years."

The classic Nivea cream that comes in a small, deep blue tin is all Joan has used to achieve her youthful looks.

On Boots.com, you can pick up a 50ml tin of the cream for just £1.99 - plus you can use it on your hands and body too. What a steal.

After Joan spilled her beauty secrets, viewers were shocked and vowed to pick up their own tin of Nivea ASAP.

"I seriously thought she was in her 60s... she is beautiful," one follower commented.

"This has got to be a joke she looks so good," raved a second.

"I am buying a ton of Nivea today!!! You look fantastic," added a third.

"Wow you look amazing! Nivea are going to use you as their poster girl!" wrote a fourth.

And that's exactly what Nivea did.

After Joan's video went viral on TikTok, her granddaughter shared a some exciting news in the comment section.

She wrote: "Message from Grandma Joan - Because of you guys and the lovely messages - NIVEA have asked to collaborate with me. I'm overwhelmed. Thank you!"

She has since shared her content via the Nivea TikTok account.

When one cynical viewer asked if Joan had ever had any cosmetic surgery, Joan posted a new video to set the record straight.

"No surgery at all on my face... Well I've had hips and knee surgery," she admitted.

"I couldn't afford it! I've had eight children, eighteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren - I've never had enough money to do that!

"When you see people that have got botox, you can tell. They seem to freeze, they don't seem to be able to smile properly anymore. It just doesn't look normal at all.

"Goodness knows what they're going to look like at my age!"
