One way to make sure you don't end up too tired to take your make-up off and end up sleeping caked in it is to simply remove it mid-way through the night, and Lady Gaga certainly nailed it at this year's Oscars ceremony.

Gaga's make-up artist, Sarah Tanno, took to Instagram to share the actor and singer's look from the night, alongside the 'aftermath' of taking it off.

Removing the masterpiece so soon after it was applied may have been a painful experience for Tanno, but it was certainly worth it, because Gaga ended up receiving widespread praise for her bare-faced look.

For her red carpet appearance, the House of Gucci star paired her Versace outfit with makeup from her makeup brand, Haus Labs.

Detailing the products used on her Instagram, Tanno explained: "We call this look 'Addicted to Blush' and were inspired by the Robert Palmer girls from the Addicted to Love video. We were so excited to create this more is more glam using our all new Color Fuse Blush.

"SKIN: TRICLONE SKINTECH FOUNDATION in shade 160 Light Neutral and shade 100 Light Neutral under the eyes and center of her face.

"Set with BIO BLURRING LOOSE SETTING POWDER in Translucent. POWER SCULPT VELVET BRONZER in Medium Level 5 on perimeter of the face and sculpt.

"COLOUR FUSE BLUSH is the star of the show in our favourite bright pink shade DRAGONFRUIT DAZE. I then brighten certain areas using WATERMELON BLISS almost like a contour. BIO RADIANT GEL HIGHLIGHTER in shade Rose Quartz and top of cheeks I applied Peach Quartz."

Fans were surprised Gaga's heavy make-up look came off quite easily.

The look also featured heavy eyeliner, filled in brows and 'killer custom lashes', alongside lip lacquer.

However, the make-up didn't stay on very long and was swiftly removed using only a couple of make-up wipes, some cotton wool pads and cotton buds, as seen in an image shared by Tanno to her Instagram story.

And fans have flooded to social media in awe of how the 'Bad Romance' singer was able to take off her make-up so quickly and effectively.

One wrote: "Sorry how was Lady Gaga able to get all this makeup off so fast with no smears? If I wash my face like 5 times I still go to bed looking like the Joker."

"Just one of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible mask. It yanks right off," another joked.

Lady Gaga performed 'Hold My Hand' from Top Gun: Maverick at the 95th Oscars.

While a third said: "Legit question. Post the wipes."

Despite their jealousy over whatever magical make-up wipes the singer is using, fans were quick to praise Gaga's outfit and stripped back look during her performance.

"No make up, classy, simple and totally organic performance #HoldMyHand We love you, girl," one said.

Another wrote: "Love this Lady Gaga performance — no make-up, no fancy gown, still killing it."
