Joe Goldberg is back with a vengeance and a brand new identity in the fourth season of You, which just dropped on Netflix.

Before we delve into the brand new season, let's do a very quick recap of the season three finale because a lot unfolded.

In the last episode, viewers watched as Joe reached his breaking point with his wife Love (Victoria Pedretti) which culminated in him killing her.

When Love discovered she was pregnant and they moved to the dreaded suburbs, Joe reached his breaking point. But he soon found out he met his match with his wife.

Creepy Joe quickly became obsessed with local librarian Marienne (Tati Gabrielle) and Love tried to kill her husband because of his infatuation.

She was obviously unsuccessful and Joe managed to kill her, fake his death, set fire to their family home, abandon his son with another family and go on the run.

Joe has a brand new identity.

The hotly anticipated psychological series picks up exactly where season four left off in the Big Smoke as Joe (played by Penn Badgley) searches through the streets of London to find his beloved Marienne.

Joe has swapped suburbia for seminars in the fourth season as we find Joe living under the alias of university professor Jonathan Moore.

“Turns out teaching’s fun and London’s not so bad,” he says in the trailer, before the killer reveals that his time in the capital has led to him mingling with ‘a circle of privileged douchebags’.

Yikes.

Knowing Joe, who has an insatiable desire to kill, it's only going to be a matter of time before he finds his new obsession in England's high society and the consequences will probably be very bloody.

Joe is desperately looking for Marienne.

There are a bunch of new cast members this season, including Lukas Gage (Euphoria), who will play wealthy US ex-pat Adam, who is struggling to live up to his family's high expectations, and Charlotte Ritchie (Feel Good) as Kate, the fiery art gallery director.

Amy-Leigh Hickman will play literature student and aspiring author Nadia, who's trying to cover up some secrets of her own and Ed Speleers will be troubled author Rhys, who is living off the success of his memoir.
