Millennials Are Going Crazy Over This Senior Year Character’s Development

This is amazing.

Warning: Senior Year spoilers ahead.

Netflix viewers are loving Senior Year, which appears to be the high school movie to end all high school movies.

The comedy stars Rebel Wilson as Steph Conway, a 37-year-old woman who awakens from a two-decade coma after a tragic accident and makes the decision to return to high school to earn her diploma.

Senior Year is filled to the brim with pop culture references and nostalgic moments, but there’s one particular character development in the film which has stolen the hearts of millennial viewers.

Cast your mind back to 1995, and you’ll recall the hit movie Clueless. More specifically, the moment where Tai (Brittany Murphy) called Cher (Alicia Silverstone) ‘a virgin who can’t drive’ during an argument.

Now, 27 years later, Alicia made an appearance in a cameo role in Senior Year. And this time, she’s got to grips with her driving license.

Playing the role of Deanna Russo, a former high-school prom queen turned Lyft driver, she urges Steph to drop the tiara and focus on her future dreams.

Understandably, millennials freaked out at the prospect of Alicia’s personal growth between the two films, and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

“The irony of @AliciaSilv being an Uber driver in Senior Year on @netflix when she’s a 'virgin who can’t drive' should be appreciated by all millennials,” one viewer expressed.

Another tweeted: “Okay, I loved Senior Year especially the cameo of a certain Uber driver!”

“Alicia Silverstone as the Uber driver in Senior Year was the best part lmfao,” echoed another.

“The Uber driver cameo at the end of Senior Year made my millennial heart happy,” someone else shared.

“OMFG! Watching Senior Year on Netflix. The Uber driver cameo is EVERYTHING,” a different onlooker said.

Senior Year almost broke my brain as it shows a Clueless poster on Stephanie’s bedroom wall featuring Alicia Silverstone… Who then shows up later as an Uber driver not named Alicia Silverstone,” one viewer explained.

“I DIDN’T KNOW ALICIA SILVERSTONE WAS IN SENIOR YEAR WTF AKDHAKHD QUEEN,” wrote someone else.

We certainly couldn’t be prouder of Alicia for her personal growth!
