Fans are remembering iconic 2000s advert that was 'greatest ever made'

Nothin will ever beat this.

Do you happen to remember the greatest advert of all time? Because, yes, there is definitively one that's better than the rest.

What advert is that, you ask? Why, it's Pepsi's 2004 'We Will Rock You' commercial starring four of the biggest names in pop at the time - Britney, Beyoncé, Pink and Enrique.

Here's a little reminder:

Both Britney Spears and Beyoncé had been Pepsi ambassadors for a few years, and starred in a number of commercials for the beverage company before this masterpiece finally came to be.

The Roman gladiator themed advert sees Britney, Beyoncé, and Pink star as three Roman gladiators slated to fight one another - and some lions - for the amusement of the emperor, played by Enrique Inglesias.

When they get the crowd going with a good old-fashioned 'We Will Rock You' chant, the beat is so heavy that poor emperor Enrique loses his huge crate of priceless Pepsi, which the girls then toss into the crowd after their iconic performance.

The campaign was so huge that several promo singles were even released by Pepsi, featuring the song from the advert and some other tracks by Pink, Britney, Beyoncé, Enrique, Solange, and JC Chasez.

Plus, it got its very own premiere. Ah, the real golden age of television.

Commenting on the collab at the time, Britney said: "It's amazing to work with artists like Pink and Beyoncé. It's really, really cool. You want to pinch yourself. This was a thrill beyond belief."

The greatest collaboration of all time. No exceptions.

It was the greatest thing on television when it first came out, but people are only just remembering how phenomenal it was 19 years later.

When a fan shared the video to Twitter on a whim, the vast majority of viewers agreed: this was 'the greatest commercial ever made.'

"If Lady Marmalade and GLADIATOR had triplets after a Pepsi bender. An incredible relic," commented one fan.

"There was more put into this one commercial than all of the last few years of movies put together," another wistfully wrote.

"I used to watch this religiously when I was a kid," tweeted a third.

And a fourth stated definitively: "Nothing can beat this ad. Always iconic."

No arguments on my end.

And no complaints from Queen guitarist Brian May, either.

Commenting on the advert when it came out, Brian raved: "I will die happy, I think in the end, it will be a good piece of art.

"There is more money and more talent per second in an ad than in anything else. It was incredible to work with the three of them, and hear the song come to life in a new way. Freddie would definitely have enjoyed it."
