Warning: This article contains major spoilers for And Just Like That...
If you've watched the first episode of And Just Like That, the follow-up to Sex and the City, you'll know that it was nothing short of traumatic.
While Carrie was enjoying Lily's piano recital, Mr Big was at home, slumped on the floor of the shower, having a heart attack.

And as Carrie says in the following scene: "And just like that, Big died."
Cue plenty of traumatic sobbing from us (and Charlotte).
Just before Big died, he had been doing a workout on his Peloton bike. And as fans will know, Big has always had problems with his heart.

And while Peloton was aware that its product would be shown in the episode, the company has now issued a statement on what happened - blaming Big himself.
Dr Suzanne Steinbaum - who is both a cardiologist and member of Peloton’s health and wellness advisory council - explained: “Mr Big lived what many would call an extravagant lifestyle — including cocktails, cigars, and big steaks — and was at serious risk as he had a previous cardiac event in Season 6.
"These lifestyle choices and perhaps even his family history, which often is a significant factor, were the likely cause of his death. Riding his Peloton Bike may have even helped delay his cardiac event.
“More than 80 per cent of all cardiac-related deaths are preventable through lifestyle, diet and exercise modifications. And while 25 per cent of heart attacks each year are in patients who already had one (like Mr. Big), even then they are very, very treatable. The lesson here is, KNOW YOUR NUMBERS!

"It’s always important to talk to your doctor, get tested, and have a healthy prevention strategy. The good news is Peloton helps you track heart rate while you ride, so you can do it safely.”
You can watch the first two episodes of And Just Like That on Sky and NOW.
