Season four of Netflix drama Ozark has landed and fans have already gone wild speculating what will happen in the last ever series.
The seven episodes have only just landed but already eager viewers have been binging to work out the fate of the Byrde family, as well as their cartel accomplices.
However some fans think the final series could be the end for one long-standing character, as they predict Darlene to be killed off.
At the end of season three, it seemed Darlene (played by Lisa Emery) and Ruth (played by Julia Garner) were on good terms, yet fans have wondered if the fourth season might see a huge plot twist between the sulky pair.
Whilst fans might have thought the final series could be the end for Marty Byrde (played by Jason Bateman) and wife Wendy Byrde (played by Laura Linney), it seems the trailer hinted a clue that Darlene could be the one to bite the bullet instead.
In a subreddit thread, fans have been speculating wildly over the final season, which landed on Netflix Friday 21st January, and as they settle in to binge watch they think it could be death on the cards for Darlene.
Predictions have been flying in thick and fast but one that many seem to agree on is Darlene's demise. One reddit user simply wrote: "Darlene dead", which many have responded to.
One Ozark fan added: "I never understood why they didn’t kill when they had the chance, they knew she killed her husband!"
Another commented: "Yeah, I think she dies in the first half, TBH. I think her death will be the big one of 4.0 where as most of the characters fates will be saved for 4.5."
Although not every viewer agreed with predictions surrounding Darlene's death.
Another thought Marty and Wendy were more likely to be killed off. They wrote: "Marty dies. Wendy dies. Marty is forever cursed as the poor kid who can't win without quarters. Wendy is reckless, and thinks more of herself than reality, and it will be her end.
"Ruth or Darlene will carry on. They are the Ozarks and the Ozarks are them. Carpet baggers come and go, but the Ozarks are constant."
Some fans are also keen to see the tension between Wendy and Darlene come to a head, with some wondering if they will kill each other.
One user wrote: "I think Darlene and Wendy both die. That’s it. That’s all I’ve got."
Another commented back: "I low key want to see a fight between them."
Whether it's intentional or not, some fans do think Wendy could be the one to end Darlene as the final season comes to a climax. One fan wondered: "I also think Wendy will start pulling the trigger herself & kill. No more Nelson. She will kill someone, maybe Darlene."
Will Darlene make it to the end of season four? We've yet to find out!
