First Look At Tonight's Episode Of Married At First Sight UK

Move over Love Island, we’ve got a new obsession kickstarting.

Now Love Island has finished, we’ve been left bereft for things to do at 9pm every night.

However, it seems the boredom has only been short-lived, as Married At First Sight UK is set to become our new obsession over the next few weeks.

Watch the trailer here.

The show has had a total makeover for the new season, now following the format popularised by the Australian series which aired on E4 earlier this year.

Now, a team of dating experts have matched together eight couples based on compatibility and other values to take part in the ultimate dating experiment – getting married at first sight (hence the title).

In an early look clip from tonight's episode, the men and women are joined by experts Mel Schilling and Paul Carrick Brunson as they discuss what they’re all looking for in their partners.

One woman says she fears no-one will ever love her, and that she wants her “very own fairytale.”

Meanwhile, one man taking part on the show says: “I can’t imagine not having kids. I want to the commitment and focus on building my life together.”

Another woman said: “I know in my heart that I want love. I’m putting my faith in this.”

And it looks as if it’s set to be a wild series for the to-be couples, after dating expert Mel Schilling told Tyla just want we’ve got to look forward to.

MAFS Australia veteran Mel said: "I'm gonna call it. I think this show has the potential to be more successful.

“Yes, [Love Island] has the elements of flirtation and love, and all that stuff in there, but our show does go so much deeper.

The show is expected to be as explosive as its Australian counterpart (

"It's about people connecting and forming meaningful relationships, and I get feedback all the time from our audience, saying 'I can see myself playing out on the screen' or 'that couple reminded me of me'.

"[They say] when you gave the advice to that person, I took it on too, because I was doing the same thing.

"So I find there's a very very personal, and much deeper connection with the stories, playing out on the screen. It's not just about the surface level stuff.

"Sure, there's people falling in love and there's lots of snogging, mugging off... but at that deeper level there's that stuff that our audience can actually take away and learn, and that can be quite addictive."

We can't wait!

MAFS UK starts tonight at 9pm on E4.
