Four new singles set to shake up Married at First Sight experiment

The hit relationship series will introduce two intruder couples.

The Married at First Sight UK cast will have a major shakeup with the addition of four new singletons.

Following the first wedding ceremonies and honeymoons last week, the experts will welcome two new intruder couples into the fold.

First up is Sophie, a 26-year-old from Manchester who doesn’t need a man to make her happy.

After living in Manchester for the last five and a half years and climbing the tech career ladder, she’s looking for her soulmate.

The only successful men who seem to approach her are already in relationships or are never available to pursue a relationship.

Gemma, 30, from Devon

E4.

Gemma is also joining the hit relationship series as a late addition. She describes herself as ‘a bad bitch’. She’s outspoken, real but incredibly loving.

She’s not afraid to stand out from the crowd and is never shy of male attention. As a proud mother-of-two and the owner of a successful hair salon, she’s yet to find a man who can add substance to her life.

Matt, 32, from Huddersfield

E4.

Matt expresses himself through his tattoos, but underneath his body art he has a heart of gold. His friends describe him as an extrovert with a lot of love to give.

He owns a successful barbershop in York and owns two dogs and visits the gym often. He’s looking for a woman who isn’t afraid to try new things.

Johnathan, 32, from Selby

E4.

Finally we have Johnathan, 32, from Selby loves exploring and describes himself as a confident, spontaneous adventurer. He has worked as a carpenter since he left school, now there’s only one piece of the puzzle missing from his life.

He’s ready to settle down and after his longest relationship of two years came to and end, Johnathan is looking for the right woman who is up for an adventure.

The new singles will appear from Thursday’s episode on 15th September.

The current series has been filled with drama as the honeymoons came to an end and the cast came together for the commitment ceremonies.

One couple that have had a particularly rocky experience is Duka and Whitney. The experts; Mel Schilling, Paul C. Brunson, and Charlene Douglas were keen to hear why the relationship had failed to blossom.

Whitney shared why she and Duka have not gotten along.
E4.

Whitney has consistently called her husband ‘fake’ and at the commitment ceremony, she finally revealed why.

"He talks every day about 'When the experiment is done, I am going to get so many girls in my DMs [direct messages].

"So you want me to be here, be genuine and in a relationship with someone who is here for fame, like what do you want from me?

"I wanted to find someone who I can legitimately connect with and find myself!"

Duka didn’t deny the comments and replied: “I apologise for the comments I may have made but at the same time I also know my self-worth, in terms of the past.”
