Love Island Fans React As Afia Is Dumped From The Villa In Major Re-Coupling Twist

Love Island Fans React As Afia Is Dumped From The Villa In Major Re-Coupling Twist

The other islanders were gutted.

Afia Tonkmor has left the Love Island villa in a shocking recoupling twist.

In Monday's (13 June) episode of the show, Afia exited the villa after a dramatic recoupling left Afia and Paige single.

The dumping came after the surprised islanders were asked to gather around the fire pit towards the end of the episode. Moments later, as the only single islanders, Afia and Paige were asked to stand up.

New boy Jacques O'Neill was then asked to choose which of the girls he would like to couple up with, before choosing to recouple with Paige, who he'd been getting to know since arriving.

And viewers were sad for Afia, who only entered the villa a few days ago. One person wrote: "Aw Afia."

While another added: "I acc felt sorry for Afia."

On her way out of the villa, Afia said: "Obviously I'm going to miss everyone in the villa, but I'm still going to keep trying to find love. I'm sure Mr Right is out there."

The news comes after Liam Llewellyn quit the show last week, with the rest of the cast gutted at the 22-year-old's exit.

The Master’s student took to Instagram to reiterate why he cut his journey in the villa short, and reflected on the decision.

He said: “Just finished my bit on After Sun so I thought it would be a mint time to jump online to say how appreciative I am for all the love and support from before I even entered the villa, during the villa and obviously everything post villa backing the decision I made.”

“I was in there 10% and I wasn’t comfortable being in there at 10%,” he admitted, adding that he wanted to be on the show at 100%.

“If I couldn’t bring 100, I didn’t want to be there, so yeah, made the right decision and people are backing it all the way and yeah I respect it also. Thank you all.”

Since leaving, Liam has revealed he had no idea that Gemma's dad is actually footballer Michael Owen.

Speaking on spin-off show Aftersun, Liam was gobsmacked when host Laura Whitmore revealed the news.

"I can’t believe who that actually was. That’s mad,” said Liam.

“I’m a United fan. I actually have one of his tops when he came to the club. That first night, we were chatting about football and her family. I was so close. I can’t believe I didn’t quite work it out."

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2.
