Mary has revealed her grandmother died during her time in the Love Island villa. After arriving home she attended her funeral and took time away from the public eye to mourn.
In a touching tribute on Instagram, Mary said: "Our angel on earth is now our angel in heaven.
"Coming off the show has been bitter sweet [sic] for me as I flew home to go to the funeral of my beautiful grandma who passed away whilst I was in the villa. I’ve been taking the time since the show to mourn, reflect, and be back with my loved ones before returning to my social media.

Mary and Aaron's Love Island journey began when she entered as a Casa Amor bombshell. After exploring her connection with Toby Aromolaran, she was brought back to the main villa. But they weren't meant to be as Toby soon realised he had a stronger connection with his original beau Chloe Burrows and swiftly broke things off with Mary.
Aaron arrived shortly after Dale - who Mary also had an initial connection with - was dumped. After being voted one of the least compatible couples, Mary and Aaron were dumped.
