The search for the actors to play the three main characters in It Ends with Us has officially ended.
Brandon Sklenar has joined the cast of It Ends With Us, the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling romance novel.
Best known for his role in the series 1923, the 32-year-old actor joins Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively and Jane the Virgin’s Justin Baldoni, who also serves as the film’s director.
It Ends with Us focuses on a small town girl named Lily Bloom – who will be portrayed by Blake - who moves to Boston to start her own business.

Sparks immediately fly between Lily and her neurosurgeon, Ryle Kincaid (to be played by Justin_, but he has a very strict ‘no dating rule’ and hates relationships.
Lily wonders why he’s like this but at the same time, she becomes overwhelmed with thoughts about her first love, Atlas Corrigan.
Brandon will portray Atlas, who suddenly comes back into Lily’s life, making her will-they-won’t-they situation with Ryle more complicated.

Justin confirmed the Atlas casting news on Thursday (20 April) when he re-posted an article about the film on his own Instagram page. “Ladies and gentleman… meet your #Atlas @brandonsklenar,” he wrote alongside the post.
It Ends With Us is one of the many Colleen’s novels that has taken over 'BookTok', with over two billion views under the TikTok hashtag.
Colleen’s novels tend to be in the young adult fiction and romance genres, including the New York Times best sellers Hopeless, Maybe Someday, Ugly Love and Verity.

In 2022, Hoover published a sequel to It Ends With Us titled It Starts With Us which was named WHSmith’s Book of the Year.
The release date for the big screen adaptation has yet to be announced however Justin shared on 1 April that pre-production on the film is underway.
There’s still one big character whose actor has yet to be announced. While the main three characters involved in the love triangle are confirmed, fans are waiting to find out who will play Young Lily.

In March, Justin shared an open casting call for the role on Instagram and he later said he received ‘so many deeply personal messages from fans of the book to audition for Lily’.
On 19 April, the film’s director said he had found the actress but they’re keeping the info on the downlow for now.
"Thank you for being a part of the process, it was inspiring and all of the messages we received was just validation for why we're making this movie and why this movie is so important," Justin wrote on Instagram. "We found our young Lily, we'll be announcing her soon."
