Gogglebox fans are devastated after the Baggs family announced they're departing the show.

The Essex locals, made up of dad Terry, mum Lisa and their sons Joe, 25 and George,19, confirmed the sad news on social media.

One follower said: "My angels, won’t be the same without you! On to bigger and better."

A heartbroken fan replied: "Nooooooo!!!! One of my faves from the show . But to be honest you’re more entertaining over on TikTok."

While a third Instagram user wrote: "Nooo!!! Gonna miss you guys. I’ll keep following on TikTok."

More tributes poured in, with one person leaving the message: "No am gutted wish you all the best in the future for you all love you all so much."

A fifth gushed: "Gonna miss you all favourite family on Gogglebox."

In a statement released by both Joe and George on their Instagram pages, the family said: "Hey everyone! Wanted to give you a quick update on the Baggs family.

The Baggs family started appearing on the show in 2020.
Channel 4

"After three incredible seasons on Channel 4’s Gogglebox we have taken the decision to leave the show. We have loved every second of being part of the Gogglebox family and it’s truly been the opportunity of a lifetime."

The family said their reason for leaving the reason is down to 'lots of exciting opportunities' limiting how much time they could dedicate to filming the series.

"With lots of exciting opportunities approaching for us all, we just couldn’t commit to filming another series but are so grateful for the opportunity."

The statement continued: "Thank you for all of your support whilst we have been on the show and over on TikTok. We hope that you’re as excited as we are for what’s coming next!"

Gogglebox fans raised concerns earlier this month after the family were missing from a recent episode.

Viewers of the Friday night favourite took to social media to question the family’s absence. Joe responded on Instagram and said the family’s ‘chaotic’ recent weeks meant they were unable to film.

Joe and his brother George regularly post on TikTok.

“Ello lovelies, the Baggs aren’t on Gogglebox this week as we’ve had such a chaotic & busy couple of weeks we haven’t managed to film,” he wrote in the caption.

“It’s always an amazing show though and we can’t wait to watch along with you!”

The Baggs family served as armchair critics on Gogglebox for three series between 2020 and 2022.
