Love Island Fans React As Gemma Speaks About Her Dad For The First Time

Gemma spoke about her famous dad for the first time.

Gemma Owen spoke about her famous dad, Michael Owen, for the first time during Thursday (30 June) evening's episode of Love Island.

It's the first time in the series that viewers have seen Gemma discuss her professional footballer dad on air.

The moment came while the girls were getting ready for the evening.

Antigoni asks Gemma: "Is your dad like very well known and played for England right?"

Gemma says yes, before Ekin-Su asks: "Do you like David Beckham's sons?"

Gemma responds explaining that she actually went to nursery with the Beckham boys.

And people at home have been commenting on the moment, with one person writing on Twitter: "So does everyone knows about Gemma’s dad then????"

While another said: "THEY FINALLY MENTIONED GEMMA’S DAD."

And a third added: "Finally mentioned gemma’s dad."

Meanwhile a fourth commented: "What how did I miss the talk about Gemma’s dad?! I’ve been waiting for this for weeks."

Elsewhere in Thursday's episode, fans can't get over Ekin-Su's sweet gesture towards Davide after the pair returned to sharing a bed with each other, following a recoupling in the previous episode.

And as the islanders were getting ready to go to sleep, Ekin can be seen covering Davide with their duvet, so he doesn't get cold.

And viewers at home were quick to notice the cute gesture, with one person writing: "Did anyone see ekin su put the duvet over davide?"

While another said: "Ekin su making sure davide has some duvet on him. the love is real."

And a third added: Ekin su putting the duvet on davide."

"Ekin Su putting the duvet over Davide omg," said a fourth, alongside a crying emoji.

Two islanders will be going home.

At the end of Thursday's episode, viewers learned that one boy and one girl will go home in Friday's ep. The islanders must choose who to send home out of the 'least compatible' couples - chosen by the public.

The boys must choose between Tasha, Danica and Antigoni, while the girls must choose between Charlie, Jay and Andrew.

At the end of the ep, it was also announced that Casa Amor would be returning very soon...
