Love Island fans are convinced Jacques was booted from the villa over ‘cut’ scenes

Love Island fans are convinced Jacques was booted from the Love Island villa over ‘cut’ scenes.

It was announced on Tuesday (12 July) that the rugby player had left the villa

An ITV spokesperson said: “Jacques has made the decision to leave the villa. He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode. We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques."

During Tuesday’s episode, Jacques insisted he was cutting his time in the villa short because he wanted to return home and be his ‘best self’ for Paige. However, fans are convinced there’s more to the story.

After the show aired, one person wrote on Twitter: “You can’t convince me Jacques didn’t get kicked out by the producers,” while another added: “I still lowkey think that Jacques did something bad that got him kicked out & they covered it up.”

Other suspicious comments included: “They most definitely removed Jacques but have let him say he’s left voluntarily”, “The Love Island producers need to let us know if they told Jacques to leave for inappropriate behaviour, because if he has and it’s been swept under the carpet, that’s not a good look”, and “The producers defo told Jacques he had to cut. This was not his choice.”

Tyla has approached a Love Island spokesperson for comment.

Jacques had been the subject of some controversy over his treatment of Paige.

Jacques had been having a rocky time in the villa since Casa Amor, when things got hot and heavy between himself and Cheyanne.

Despite that, Jacques chose not to recouple with any of the Casa Amor girls, instead ‘staying loyal’ to Paige, who was left hurt and upset to discover Jacques and Cheyanne had been intimate while she was away.

In recent days, Jacques had been doing his best to win Paige over, and she finally let him out of the dog house and back into their bed during Monday (11 July) evening's episode.

However, Jacques was rattled when 2018 islander Adam Collard returned to the villa as a bombshell and started pulling Paige for chats.

At the end of Tuesday’s show, Jacques sat down with Paige and explained he’d been struggling over the past couple of weeks, adding: “I just wish I could finish my journey off with you in here but I'm going to go home today."

He added: “You've got to still enjoy your time here. Just do what you need to do and I'll be waiting for you."

Paige replied: "I don't want you to go but also I want you to be happy and it hurts me seeing you in this way."
