After arriving home, the young woman brought her phone camera to the mirror to get a good look at the damage.

She captioned the video: "When I thought my 'leather' pants looked great on my date but I get home and I'm shedding."
While obviously embarrassing, viewers couldn't help but laugh at the mishap.
One TikTok user commented: "HAHAAHHAHAA stop did your date notice!?!? Jail time if they said nothing."
Another wrote: "The way I would have immediately passed away when I noticed."
A third added: "Bro.. did they really have to shed their skin on the date like that?!? Sheeeesh."
