Lili Reinhart has been delivering one standout fashion moment after another during The Love Hypothesis press tour, with fans obsessing over every single look.

Embracing the trend of 'method dressing', the actress has taken inspiration from late-1990s and early-2000s rom coms, drawing on references from the genre's most notable films.

Since kicking off the promotional campaign back in August 2026, Reinhart has been seen wearing modern adaptations of outfits from hit films including 13 Going On 30, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, and most recently, Uptown Girls, in what could be her final fashion tribute of the press tour.

Starring opposite romantic lead, Tom Bateman, The Love Hypothesis is an adaptation of Ali Hazelwood’s bestselling novel (available to buy on Amazon for £8.97 here), following a graduate student who agrees to a fake relationship with her professor.

Uptown Girls (2003)

During the press tour, Reinhart paid homage to the late Brittany Murphy in Uptown Girls.

Supplied by Rebe Archive, Lili wears the Blumarine SS 2002 dress from the same collection as seen on Murphy in the film.

Fans took to her Instagram comments to comment, "The moment the world has been waiting for," and "I miss Brittany so much, so happy to see you bringing her memory back for a night with her dress."

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Reinhart said: "People started saying I looked like her [Brittany Murphy] and I thought that was the most wonderful compliment ever... It felt like I was putting on a precious jewel."

My Date With The President's Daughter (1998)

For this look, Reinhart wore a custom made bubble-gum pink velour Miu Miu dress, replicating the viral dress as seen on Elisabeth Harnois in the Disney movie, My Date With The President's Daughter.

Despite being released 28 years ago, the dress is still very much relevant today, with TikTok users doing everything they can to find a copy of the pink velvet mini dress.

Supposedly, the original was sourced by costume designer Delphine White and was made by the vintage brand, California Proline.

Miss Congeniality (2000)

Reinhart's tribute to Miss Congeniality even caught the attention of Sandra Bullock, who left a comment on her Instagram post.

Bullock commented: "Stunning! Now all you need is a crown🗽and a stunt mat to break your fall 🤣💜"

In the 2000s comedy, Bullock stepped out in a lavender Hervé Léger bandage mini dress, a look that remains one of the most memorable makeover scenes of its day.

Reinhart put a contemporary spin on the outfit, wearing her own custom-made Hervé Léger mini dress designed by Michelle Ochs that echoed the original while bringing it firmly into 2026.

Ever After (1998)

Lili posted a shot of her wearing this beautifully embellished custom made gown by Rodarte, inspired by the romantic renaissance fantasy that is Ever After, starring Drew Barrymore.

Reinhart revealed in her Instagram caption: "I coveted my VHS tape we had at home and fell in love with period pieces because of this film."

Drew Barrymore loved Reinhart's tribute so much that she also took to Instagram to comment: "Putting the period in period piece 💅"

Her look was styled with a messy braid running down her back, pulling together a romantic look.

How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (2003)

Donning a butter yellow slip dress with a criss-cross back, Kate Hudson wears a custom made gown in How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days.

The dress was a genius collaboration between the film's costume designer, Karen Patch, and Carolina Herrera.

For her press tour look, Reinhart styled out a vintage 2000s Caché replica dress, which looks remarkably similar. It features a plunging backless design with criss-cross detail, and even comes in the same pale yellow hue.

13 Going On 30 (2004)

Jennifer Garner's playful polka dot coat over her nightgown in 13 Going On 30 was an archival piece from Nanette Lepore.

Reinhart drew direct inspiration from the movie with the same archival piece as worn on set.

Supposedly, her stylist, Ib Abdel Nasser, reached out to the designer's daughter in order to source the exact coat as worn by Jennifer Garner.

It came as a fitting tribute considering Lili Reinhart celebrated her 30th birthday this year (2026).

Atonement (2007)

In a landmark survey conducted in 2008 by Sky Movies and InStyle Magazine, Kiera Knightley's Atonement dress was voted the 'greatest and most iconic film costume of all time.'

The 1930s-inspired bias-cut gown was designed by costume designer, Jacqueline Durran and it makes for one of the most memorable dresses in film history.

Reinhart's version was custom-made by the one and only Tory Burch, who took to Instagram to post: "A twisted, draped, and hand-knotted interpretation of the iconic green dress in 'Atonement'."
