Women are turning their back on false eyelashes after discovering a ‘game-changing’ high street mascara.

With hundreds of rave reviews online, the £12.99 mascara has ‘wowed’ customers - and it’s not hard to see why.

“Hands down THE best mascara I have ever used,” one recent five-star review reads. “I have to say, I am absolutely blown away! This mascara looks like I'm wearing falsies! I am lucky to have quite long eyelashes naturally, but with this mascara, they know no limits!”

Another customer agreed, as they wrote: “My lashes have luscious volume, a lovely, long length, and it genuinely looks like I am wearing false lashes. It's not heavy [and doesn’t] weigh your lashes down, the formula is thick and the brush is perfect for creating good volume. I would 100% recommend anyone to try this mascara because you will not be disappointed!”

A third shared, “Out of the eight mascaras I have purchased in a 12-month period, this is the only one that actually works. I have blonde eyelashes which are the bane of my life. However, I can live with them now that I have found an efficient mascara that coats each lash on the first coat. Ladies, buy this mascara.”

What is the high street mascara everyone is talking about?

The high street ‘game changer’ everyone is talking about is from British brand Rimmel. According to the beauty giant, it’s Rimmel’s ‘most premium mascara’ yet, but it’s still around 52% cheaper than designer competitors. Designed to last up to 24 hours, the brush boasts new tapered fibres to grab and coat each lash for maximum impact.

The product description also states that the mascara is waterproof, buildable, and clump-free. But don't worry, customers have also praised how easy it is to wipe off.

“Did not smudge and was long lasting, whilst still being easy to remove with micellar water,” one customer wrote. “Would recommend.” Another said, "Even after wearing it for an entire day, my lashes still looked as fresh as they did in the morning. The best part? It’s easy to remove at the end of the day - no harsh rubbing needed."

Where to buy the viral Rimmel mascara now

The Rimmel mascara is available to purchase on Boots for £12.99. If you want to save even more money, it’s also on offer on Amazon for only £6.47. To quote one customer review, 'run, don't walk!'
