There are few things more difficult than trying to reduce the appearance of a scar, whether it’s from surgery, an accident, or acne.

But people have been left 'thrilled with the results' of budget Amazon scar strips after just six weeks.

With hundreds of glowing reviews online, more than 200 have sold in the last two weeks alone, as shoppers rush to buy the product.

One customer used the scar strips after a cesarean and was left impressed by the results. "Wow! After only a month, I noticed such a big change. My scar was completely flat to touch and a lot less visible so obviously I continued to use them and the results just kept getting better and better. I cannot recommend these magic strips enough."

Another agreed, as they wrote: “I recently tried the Scar Erase Medical Grade Silicone Scar Sheet Treatment, and I am incredibly impressed with the results. After undergoing surgery, I was left with a prominent scar that made me self-conscious. However, after using these silicone scar strips for just six weeks, I noticed a significant improvement in the texture and appearance of my scar.”

A third simply said: "This stuff is witchcraft. What scars?"

Do scar removal strips work?

The Amazon scar strips in question are a non-invasive treatment designed to 'flatten and reduce' the appearance of keloid, hypertrophic, old, and new scars.

A six-week treatment, the medical grade silicone sheets can be used on any part of the external body on scars up to four years old.

The lowdown

So, how do they work? When a scar is formed, moisture is lost. These scar strips are designed to work by retaining the skin's moisture and reducing collagen, which allows the surrounding tissue to blend in with the scar - giving a more natural, flatter appearance overall.

According to the brand's official website, users reported an 86% reduction in scar texture, an 84% reduction in scar colour, and a 68% reduction in scar height after using the product for six weeks.

The scar strips can be cut for a customisable fit depending on the size and shape of the scar. You then need to leave the scar strip on for a minimum of 12 hours per day. The strips are reusable and can be washed between uses.

A large majority of customers have been left 'impressed' by their results and some have even purchased multiple packs online according to reviews.

Where to buy scar strips online

The Scar Erase Medical Grade Silicone Scar Strips are currently available on Amazon for £28. This includes a six-week treatment so you have time to see if the product is right for you.
