People are comparing their worst ever sex stories and it's proving both hilarious and horrifying.

From dodgy smells to awkward hospital trips, everything that could possibly go wrong, has gone wrong for some of these unfortunate souls.

Read on for some hilarious sex blunders - but be warned! Some of these stories are NSFW.

One Reddit user likely didn't know what they were in for when they asked the r/AskMen subreddit: "What made the worst sex you've ever had so terrible?"

Between the terrifying, the laugh-out-loud awkward, and the just plain gross, people really went all out with their answers.

One scarred Redditor answered: "Freshman year of Uni. Finally getting a shot with this beauty I’d been flirting with for months. She gets on top and proceeds to puke all over my body/face."

Honestly we don't know who we feel worse for!

Providing all we could ever possibly need to know in just one sentence, another commented: "Her tooth fell out of her mouth and in to my mouth."

*Gag.*

For some people, all was going well right up until the last second.

One wrote: "He meowed when he climaxed. It was a hook up. Worst thing ever."

Another commented: "One day during orgasm the girl passed out I thought she died, it was very scary..."

Many were happy to go into great detail about their most traumatic ventures and set the scene for readers.

One of those users commented: "Sounds like a joke but I once had something with a lady which lived with 32 guinea pigs in her room. Worst part of it was, that i am allergic to hay and literally half of the room was covered in it. Also it didn't help to know, that the guinea pigs could freely move onto the bed."

Others were still obviously mortified by their own experiences, and kept their word-counts to a minimum.

For example: "Starfish position, complete silence."

What more needs to be said, really?

However, one of two of these nightmare stories did have happy endings.

Speaking on behalf of his "best friend" (a likely story), one Reddit user commented: "Off at college, in his dorm on the top bunk. Him and his girlfriend having an*l sex. He pulls out and she sh*ts on him. He pukes on her, and she kicks him off the bunk and he breaks his leg. I drove them to the hospital. They're married now."

And they say romance is dead!
