Pregnant woman left outraged after stranger called her out for having 'too many kids'

A pregnant woman took to Reddit to vent about a rude stranger who blasted her for having 'too many kids' - despite knowing nothing about her family situation.

The anonymous woman, who already has six kids, was shopping at the supermarket when the shocking encounter took place.

The expecting mum was out for the day with her nine-year-old son, four-year-old triplets and her sister's two kids, who she adopted after her passing.

Admitting that the group 'look like a circus' when disembarking from their car, the mum insisted that her kids were being well-behaved on the shopping trip.

When a fellow shopper came across the large family, he demanded to know why the woman, currently 26 weeks pregnant, would want to have any more kids.

According to the Reddit post, the snarky man made a crack about the mum getting the government to 'pay for everything'.

This enraged the original poster, as she insisted that the family were doing fine financially - and that it wasn't anybody's business.

She wrote: "When someone says I have 'too many' kids I get so angry.

"My niece is flourishing here. She has come right out of her shell. Her case worker has even said she hasn’t seen this little girl. She hasn’t met the little girl niece is now. She’s a completely different person than when she first came to us.

"My nephew is starting to crawl! At almost one year old, he’s starting to crawl.

"So f*** anyone who wants to complain about it. If I wanna give a hundred more kids a safe, loving home to grow up in I will."

The Reddit post drew in hundreds of supportive comments from fellow parents who shared her distaste for the unwanted opinions of critics.

One wrote: "People suck. I would have had a lot more kids if I had the means to provide for them and was physically able to handle being pregnant again. I hope your niece and nephew continue to thrive."

Another remarked: "He knows nothing about your situation. Honestly if I saw you out with your six kids I'd probably think you're brave or crazy.

"It's definitely not a life I'd choose but it's absolutely nobody's business to make comments like that to you.

"He sounds like an absolute jerk. Good luck to you - sounds like you have a lot of hard work bringing up those kids."
