Mum asks son's girlfriend to 'let him cheat' for his 18th birthday

This was a very awkward dinner conversation

It's usually awkward when parents meddle in their children's relationships. However, one unfortunate woman had to face a mind-blowing proposition from her boyfriend and his mum. Hear all about it below:

TikTok creator Chantel revealed the spine-tingling story happened when she was a teenager. She went out to dinner with her boyfriend and his mum when the topic of the evening shifted to his sex life.

Chantel’s unnamed boyfriend at the time was looking forward to his then-upcoming eighteenth birthday party. Because the legal age in Australia, where the trio live, is 18, he planned to hit the clubs to celebrate.

Because Chantel was only 15 at the time, she wouldn’t be able to join in on the fun. Except, the guy and his mum had a jaw-dropping plan.

Undeterred by not being able to go clubbing, Chantel said she was ‘fine with that’ and told her boyfriend to ‘go have a good time’.

Chantel left TikTok followers in shock.

She added: "He and his mom had obviously spoken about this before because they were on the same page and they were like, ‘Well he wants to have like the full club experience’.

"And I was like, ‘What's the full club experience?’ And they're like, ‘Yeah, to be able to hook up with girls and take girls home’.”

Chantel, in a state of shock, said: “What do you mean? Um, you have a girlfriend?

“I thought he was breaking up with me right then and there with his mum, and his mum's boyfriend, just at dinner. I was like, ‘Are you serious? This is how you're gonna do it?’"

We’re starting to think a break-up chat would have been less uncomfortable.

Alas, the now 24-year-old’s then-boyfriend wasn’t breaking up with her – “Thank God, right?” she quipped.

“No, he just wanted my permission to cheat on me at the clubs.”

Yes, really.

“And I was like, 'No, I'm not actually OK with that’. And he and his mum were like baffled, they were like, ‘Are you serious?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, no, strangely enough I am serious, I don't want you to cheat on me at the clubs."

The mum and son then decided to try and negotiate a deal.

“Compromise: How about just for his birthday he can cheat on you at the clubs,” they allegedly said.

“They did not believe that I was not cool with that,” she said, reflecting on the situation.

The TikToker said the pair wouldn’t take no for an answer and that her former beau later chastised her for ‘embarrassing’ him in front of his mum.

In another twist, Chantel revealed that he was ‘already cheating on me’ and ‘continued to cheat on me’, making his request for permission on her birthday even more strange.

In response to a comment left on the video, Chantel revealed he broke up with her by text on her own birthday after continuing the relation for ‘like another month’ after his cheating request.

“The fact that men think it’s okay to sleep with other girls while having a girlfriend is just insane like where is the respect,” one outraged TikToker wrote.

“My jaw dropped WHAT IN THE MISOGYNY,” commented another TikTok user.

While another woman concluded: “And this is why I always say the man is only as good as his mom is.”

And someone else guessed: “He wanted your permission so he could blame it on you when you found out about the others, he knew you would.”
