Woman calls men out after spotting them messaging each other about her looks during meeting

Woman calls men out after spotting them messaging each other about her looks during meeting

The men shared a screen they weren't supposed to.

A woman has revealed how she called out male colleagues in a meeting after they commented on her appearance.

TikToker @whitneyrose617 had been in a Zoom call with some potential clients when they accidentally shared a screen revealing messages talking about Whitney in an 'unfavourable way'.

Whitney explained to BuzzFeed that while she didn't want to share all of the messages, one called her a "fu**ing bombshell".

After she had spotted the screen, she began filming. You can watch her call them out below:

“First of all, if we’re going to continue working together, I want to work with a woman sales representative because I don’t want to have to see locker room talk about myself when you’re sharing screens," Whitney says to the men on the call.

"I know that was a mistake but I don't want to see locker room talk. I like the product but I want to work with a woman."

One man responded calling the messages an 'inexcusable mistake', adding: "Regardless of whether it was a mistake sharing the screen it shouldn't be talked about so apologies on that."

TikTokers were quick to praise Whitney, with one commenting on the clip: "So unprofessional of him. You go girl!!"

While another said: "Incredible composure & professionalism. I hope you are doing well, I’m sorry this happened to you."

And a third added: "Wow, unacceptable behavior. Loved the way you handled that."

In a follow-up video, Whitney explained she had received an email from the client’s vice president of sales, explaining they didn't have any female employees 'skilled enough' to work with her.

Whitney later explained her company will no longer be working with the vendor.

"My company will not support a vendor that does not support women in business," she explained.

Speaking to BuzzFeed, Whitney added: “I was horrified because I have worked so hard to get to the point where I’m at in my career.

“I’m a vice president at my company and I’m one of the highest-up women at my company. And I feel like I have to work so much harder to prove that I am smart because of the way that I look, and it was just really disheartening to be in a call with a potential vendor where they’re not valuing my company.

"They don’t really value what I have to say. They value what I look like.”
