Woman fumes as supermarket top spells out crude word

The slogan seems harmless at first, until you read it more closely...

WARNING: CONTAINS EXPLICIT LANGUAGE - IF YOU'RE ABLE TO SPOT IT, THAT IS...

A woman on TikTok has shared her frustration after spotting a children's t-shirt on sale in a supermarket that spelt out a VERY crude word.

See if you can spot the hidden profanity here:

Slogan tops can serve as a bold fashion statement, whether it’s a chance to get political or just a way of sharing your favourite song lyrics.

But as they’re such a public way of getting your message out there, you’ll want to check twice before stepping outside – especially if the tee has a hidden word that you probably didn’t plan on promoting.

TikToker Brianna (@wh0l3h3art3dly) was out shopping in Walmart when she stumbled across a top in the George kids’ section.

On first glance, the slogan is a great reminder of how to live sustainably, telling us to ‘recycle’, ‘reuse’, ‘renew’ and ‘rethink’.

But Brianna, from Ontario in Canada, noticed there was another, not quite so positive, word lurking in the design of the C$5 top.

TikToker Brianna shared the find online.

“Frickin Walmart… strikes again… @Walmart Canada on a childs shirt… really?!?!” she wrote in the caption.

In the video, Brianna reads out the words on the top, saying: “Recycle. Reuse. Renew. Rethink... Where is the hidden word in this?”

Answering her own question with a phrase commonly used as a discrete alternative for ‘c**t’, she adds: “See you next Tuesday.”

Indeed, if you look at the first letter of the second part of each word, it spells out the rude C-word.

In a comment, she added: “This is Brantford Walmart.”

Since being shared a few days ago, the video has racked up more than 400,000 likes and a whopping 5.5 million views.

The clip has also sparked quite the debate in the 6,000+ strong comments section, with some agreeing the manufacturers need to ‘re-think’ the design, while others finding it nothing short of ‘hilarious’.

Can you see it?

“Someone didn’t proof that well enough,” one person said.

Another wrote: “Yeah someone needs to Re-think the wording.”

A third added: “I was like ‘I don't get it what's going on her- OH'.”

Others needed a bit of a prompt to find the hidden word, saying they didn’t ‘get it’, showing their minds were a little less corrupt than the rest of us...

Someone else commented: “That’s hilarious.”

Another joked they were on their way to Walmart ‘now’, with one also saying they wanted the top purely because of the amusing word.

“I’d get the letters bedazzled,” one TikToker said, with another adding: “Ok but now I REALLY want one.”

Tyla has reached out to Walmart for comment.
