Your Old Disney VHS Tapes Could Be Worth Thousands On eBay
Old Disney videos are being flogged for thousands of pounds on eBay with one set of the classic films on sale for a staggering £13,779.
The latest listings on the selling site will send hoarders into a frenzy but if you've already started planning what you'll spend your fortunes on, it might be worth checking out exactly which editions you own.
Currently, the most expensive Disney VHS listing on the site is a 10-strong set of classics including The Fox and The Hound, The Rescuers, Cinderella, Bambi, Beauty and The Beast, Aladdin, Lady and The Tram, 101 Dalmations, The Great Mouse Detective and The Rescuers Down Under.
Others offer UK buyers copies of The Little Mermaid for almost £8,000 and a 1992 edition of Beauty and The Beast for a cool £3123.08
So what's special about these eye-wateringly expensive versions? And how can you tell if you've got one?

For a start, they're all in either mint or 'very good' condition which means they come with their original boxes and have no fuzzy scenes.
More importantly, they're stated as being 'rare Black Diamond' tapes - part of a collection released by Disney between 1984 and 1993. These are identifiable by a black diamond logo with the words 'The Classics' on the upper spine of the case.
Others feature 'banned' cover art such as a phallic-looking spire in the centre of the palace, visible on earlier copies of The Little Mermaid. Rumour has it the detail was inserted by a disgruntled artist who was fired from the film.
