Woman who flew to Italy for a spa day with friends claims it’s cheaper that the UK
The social media star is encouraging other holiday-makers to compare the price of a trip abroad with a UK staycation
The festive season has officially come to an end, which means thousands of British holidaymakers are already setting their sights on their 2024 summer holidays.
Despite the warm-weather buzz already starting to kick in, it seems as though the age-old debate over whether a UK staycation is more cost-efficient than a trip overseas appears to be rolling on for another year.
And chiming in on this holiday discussion this year is one woman who claims her 2023 spa weekend in Milan with friends cost her less than a similar-length plush weekend in Britain.

Social media user Laura claims she only dropped £102 on her Italian venture, which she embarked upon with three of her pals.
Dubbing the trip one of the 'highlights' of her year, she has since been encouraging others to compare their price of their planned UK staycation to a holiday abroad.
Sharing a reel from her trip on Instagram, Laura showed off her pals jet-setting on their flight to the boujee Italian city before the girl gang stopped at a local restaurant for a tall glass of vino.
The all-female group then headed out to the TQ Therma Milano spa to soak up some sun before heading into some gorgeous pods to relax and catch some zzz's.
The squad even had time for a spot of sight-seeing before they headed for some grub and another glass of wine, and then headed back to the airport.
Laura captioned her reel: "My 2023 highlight was definitely the epic day trip to milan with my mum friends. If you’re looking for an adventure in 2024, this is your sign to book.
"We took Easyjet flights from Gatwick for £62 and the spa was £40 for 2.5 hours, meaning it actually cost less than a UK spa."
Thousands of viewers of her envy-worthy reel were quick to express their amazement at her trip, with many planning on making a similar vacation themselves later this year.
One penned: "This spa is insane, so relaxing. We also jumped on a 40 min journey to lake Como for only five euros!"
Hundreds of viewers also tagged their friends, suggesting the Italian voyage for their 2024 trip.
"I would so do this with you!" one commented, mentioning a pal.
"How amazing does this sound?!" another went on.
The TQ Therma Milano spa provides the option to a add on 50-minute anti-stress massage for only £81. You can also add a 25-minute Facial Lift massage for £42.
