If you've got the travel bug but are a tad strapped for cash or don't fancy spending hours in the sky, then you're in luck, as one airline has just launched £50 flights to a British island that looks just like the Caribbean.

Starting from the end of next month, the airline in question will be operating two daily flights between London City Airport and Guernsey - one of the Channel Islands in the English Channel near the French coast known for its scenic beaches and coastal cliffs.

Jet-setters will be able to choose from one flight in the morning and another in the evening, with three flights going out every Friday.

Aurigny, the flag carrier for Bailiwick of Guernsey, will be operating the flights.

The route will come into action just in time for the Easter holidays (31 March) with tickets now already on sale for anyone after a cheap and cheerful springtime getaway.

Andrew Hodges, Chief Commercial Officer, London City Airport, said: "We’re thrilled to welcome Aurigny as the first new airline at London City Airport this year – demonstrating our commitment to growing as a business and offering new destinations to our passengers."

Not to worry if you're not a Londoner as a load of other UK airports also have direct flights to Guernsey, including Manchester, Exeter, Leeds Bradford, Southampton, Birmingham, Bristol.

"Guernsey is a tourist destination and an International Finance Centre," said Nico Bezuidenhout, CEO at Aurigny.

"Many businesses on our beautiful island work closely with colleagues and clients in London and direct flights to London's beating heart will also benefit anyone who wishes to explore the city’s many attractions."

Well, that's this Easter's plans sorted then!

In other travel news, last month, one woman has opened up about about a nifty form of 'girl math' that she claims has saved her hundreds when booking her holiday.

The TikToker - who goes by the username @leila.phoebee on the video-sharing app - advised her followers to 'book your girls holiday now so that it's free when you go in summer'.

She shared a dazzling array of clips from her trip, which sees her and her gal pals partying it up, reclining on a boat and dancing on the beach in Hvar, Croatia.

And the genius handy hack has seemingly resonated with many social media users, with one even dubbing the trick as '1000% the best girl math I’ve found yet', to which Leila responded, 'We love a free holiday!'

Adds up to me.
