We're just a matter of weeks away now from the two-year anniversary of the tragic Titan sub disaster which made headlines across the globe back in 2023.
The horror implosion, which resulted in the deaths of all five crew members, took place in June 2023 when a massive operation was launched after the missing submersible - which had an inside space of just 22ft long and 9ft wide with a height of a little over 8ft - vanished about 435 miles (700km) south of Newfoundland, Canada.
The tiny craft, which was operated by OceanGate Expeditions, carried OceanGate CEO and co-founder Stockton Rush, British billionaire Hamish Harding, French diver/Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and father and son Shahzada and Suleman Dawood, as they embarked on the journey to the Titanic shipwreck.
And, with Netflix's Titan: The OceanGate Disaster due to further explore the horrific tragedy next month (11 June), a chilling Titan sub simulation revealing what happened moments before the fatal implosion has resurfaced. Take a look:

Initial theories were that 'the vehicle exploded from within due to a vulnerability in the exterior that could not withstand the extreme pressure of the deep-sea'.
However, a scientist has since taken his opportunity to testify and claimed that the Titan malfunctioned on 12 June 2023, just days before the fatal dive on 18 June 2023.
Dr Steven Ross, former scientific director for OceanGate, took the stand to testify in front of a US Coast Guard panel last year (19 September 2024).
According to Dr Ross, the malfunction caused passengers onboard the submersible to 'tumble about' and it took an hour to get them out of the water.
"One passenger was hanging upside down. The other two managed to wedge themselves into the bow end cap," he said, before adding that no one suffered any injuries.
It was reportedly caused by an issue with the variable ballast tank, which controls the sub's buoyancy, and led to the platform inverting to 45 degrees with the back bow facing upwards.
The Titan sub's wreckage was found on 22 June 2023 (US Coast Guard) Dr Ross added that he was unsure whether an official assessment of Titan's hull had occurred before it sailed into the Atlantic, but stressed staff were 'competent'.
The US Coast Guard previously announced the 'catastrophic implosion' of the Titan vessel on 22 June after debris was discovered near the wreck of the Titanic off the coast of Newfoundland.
Titan: The OceanGate Disaster is set to premiere on Netflix next month (11 June).
