A princess has hit out at the critics and defended Prince Harry in a new podcast appearance.
It’s no secret that Harry, 40, his wife Meghan Markle, 43, and their family have had a somewhat rocky relationship over the past few years.
And since the couple, who share two children, Archie, six, and Lilibet, three moved to California in June 2020, the sightings of them with the royals have been rare.
But, someone who found herself in a similar position has spoken out on the matter recently and jumped to Harry’s defence.

Appearing on the It's Reigning Men podcast this week, Princess Delphine of Belgium expressed her sympathy for the Duke of Sussex and told host Daniel Rosney that she finds the whole ordeal ‘terrible’.
She said: "I think there is this thing about security. I think it's to do with what happened to his mother. I understand the guy. He's just traumatised."

"And I understand, so he's doing these things, and everybody's bullying him, but not thinking about his trauma."

The Princess added: "And I just find it terrible because he's just been kind of left."
Relating to his experiences in the public eye, she claimed that she believes Harry is 'traumatised' and 'suffered so much'.
Speaking of Harry and Prince William’s late mother, Princess Diana, she added: “I do follow a little bit of Harry because Lady Diana was just part of my life when I was in England.
"Then she had these children and everything, and then this death was just horrible. Especially seeing these two children left by a very, I thought, natural, nice, normal motherly woman.

"They lost such an important figure, and I feel very sorry for Harry because I think that was traumatic for him. William didn't have a choice.
"I think Harry suffered so much, and I think he was traumatised and it's coming out now."

For context, Princess Delphine has been through a similar ordeal to Meghan and Harry so sympathises with what they’ve been through.

Princess Delphine’s half-brother Philippe became King of the Belgians after King Albert abdicated.
And when a book was published in 1999 which claimed that King Albert II had an illegitimate child, the Princess was ‘tracked down by the Belgian press’ and her ‘life changed,’ reports Marie Claire.
She fought for nearly twenty years in order to prove that King Albert was her dad following his affair with her mother and she won her legal battle after a DNA test proved her paternity.
The Belgian royal, who is a professional artist, said everyone turned against her and her ‘career suffered enormously’.

She then won another landmark ruling five years ago which gave her the title of 'Princess' and 'Her Royal Highness’.
