Eagle-eyed fans have commented on an unexpected detail in a new picture of Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The royal couple have been in a relationship since late 2018 and are currently celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary after they tied the knot during a stunning ceremony back in 2020.

To commemorate the milestone, it seems that the duo have jetted off together for a romantic getaway in Scotland, a favourite location amongst the royals.

Posting to his 170,000 Instagram followers, Edoardo shared a gorgeous picture of himself and his wife on the beach, alongside a heartfelt message.

In the picture, Beatrice showcased her natural beauty as she went makeup-free, while Edoardo looked suave in a matching green jacket and hat.

In the caption, he wrote: “Happy 5th Anniversary to my incredible partner, the most beautiful and amazing wife.

He gushed: “I cherish every moment we’ve spent together and am deeply grateful for our journey. Here’s to countless more years filled with laughter and tons of love!”

And while royal fans filled the comments with love and well wishes for the happy couple, others couldn’t help but notice one detail - Edoardo’s toes.

Yep, you read that right - some people have bizarrely focused on the fact that he’s got his feet out for the picture, taken on the sandy beach.

One social media user commented: “This is so lovely, but I just can’t unsee your toes!” alongside a laughing emoji. And a second brutally chimed in with: “How long are those toes?”

Meanwhile, over on Reddit the photo has also kicked up a fuss, with one user writing that he ‘should wear shoes’.

And another added: “Such long toes!,” while someone else chimed in with: “That was my first reaction! They’re longer than my fingers!!!”

Someone else pointed out: “It's a cute photo but I hate that she has shoes on and he doesn't, makes me really look at his feet.”

Other social media users simply wished the couple a happy anniversary, writing: “What a lovely photo! I wish them many more years of happiness together," and: "Happy Anniversary, you are a beautiful couple, and wonderful parents to a beautiful child."

Beatrice became a mother-of-two earlier this year, after she and Edoardo welcomed their second child.

The couple, who are also parents to three-year-old daughter Sienna - announced the arrival of their second baby girl, Athena, on 29 January, revealing the little one had been born prematurely.

The baby’s full name is Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, and she was born at 12.57pm at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.
