Over the weekend (8 November), the royal family made an appearance at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The event commemorated the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, with those in attendance including King Charles III, Queen Camilla and Kate Middleton, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
However, it was 12-year-old Prince George's attendance which really caught the attention of royal fans online, with many rushing to social media to share their excitement over his debut appearance at the event.
One Instagram user beamed: "Great to see Prince George attend such an important event."

"So happy to see Prince George for his very first time at this event," commented a second, while a third chimed in: "It was really lovely to see Prince George attending the festival for the very first time."

A fourth echoed: "Lovely to see Prince George attending his first Festival of Remembrance."
Meanwhile, other royal fans were left divided over Kate Middleton's outfit choice for the occasion, with some mocking the 'old lady' get-up while others defended the 'appropriate' fashion dress given the nature of the event.
She opted for a black dress with a white collar by Alessandra Rich with an HMS Glasgow brooch and earrings belonging to the late Queen.
Her dress was adorned with a handmade poppy created out of silk, glass and other natural materials by Izzy Ager, of Lock and Co, who has recently graduated from the Royal School of Needlework.
Others were also intrigued by the identity of the 'mystery man' standing behind Kate.

Well, it wasn't much of a mystery as the bloke was simply Lieutenant Colonel Tom White, Kate's private secretary.
Lt Col White joined the royal household back in 2020 as the late Queen’s Squire, a position he held until her passing on September 8, 2022.
According to reports, Kate invited White to accompany her to a public engagement in 2023. Following this event, he was appointed to the household staff of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
