King Charles' New Year's Honours List has just been released, and one extremely devoted nanny has managed to make the cut.
For anyone not in the know, Charles' New Year Honours List 2026 is all about recognising 'community champions who have made outstanding contributions to their communities across the UK'.
"As 'fountain of honour' in the UK, The Sovereign has the sole right of conferring titles of honour on deserving people from all walks of life, in public recognition of their merit, service or bravery," the official Royal Family website explains.
"The most well-known honours are probably MBEs, OBEs and CBEs, but there are a whole range of other honours that The King awards in addition to these, such as The Order of Merit, or The Order of St Michael and St George."
Honours recipients are announced twice a year, once in the New Year's Honours List, and once on the Monarch's official birthday.
A whopping 1157 recipients, including a bunch of celebrities and famous faces, have been awarded from every part of Old Blighty in the former, with, as we say, a particular focus this year on those who have gone above and beyond for their communities.

Borrallo, who was taken on as William and Kate's nanny over a decade ago in 2014, has made the New Year Honours list and was given a Royal Victorian Medal (Silver) for her services to the couple.
Trained at the prestigious Norland College, the Spanish-born childcare professional works with the couple in private and during public occasions.
The list, released on Monday (29 December), also honoured Charles' medical team. Professor Philip Anthony Bloom, the King’s eye surgeon, Professor Charles Deakin, who travels with Charles and Queen Consort Camilla as physician, and plastic surgeon Simon Eccles have been appointed Lieutenants of the Royal Victorian Order for their service to the monarch.
Lance Sergeant Scott Robin Bishop, who drives for William and Kate, has also received the Royal Victorian Medal in Silver.
