Meghan Markle has posted an adorable collection of family holiday photographs featuring Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, although one detail has quickly attracted attention online.
The Duchess of Sussex uploaded the 11-image carousel to Instagram on Thursday (23 July), captioning it simply: “Summer Holiday,” along with an emoji of the sun.
The post offered followers a rare glimpse at several moments from the family’s recent travels, including Meghan and Harry laughing together over dinner and five-year-old Lilibet being thrown into a swimming pool by her dad.
Seven-year-old Archie was also pictured wearing a pilot’s hat while sitting inside an aircraft cockpit. Meanwhile, other images showed a mountain lake, cut lavender and Meghan spending time with a dog beside a pool.

Although the children’s faces were largely kept out of view, the carousel is still a very transparent look into the Sussexes' recent time away from official appearances.
However, it was Meghan’s outfit in a family beach photograph that became the unexpected focus of several posts on X.
The image showed the mum of two standing on the sand in a dark, low-backed one-piece swimsuit as Harry, Archie and Lilibet headed towards the sea.
One user on X drew a direct comparison with Harry’s late mother, writing: “Meghan Markle is wearing the same cut swimsuit Princess Diana was famous for.”
The claim prompted mixed reactions, with one person posting: “Doesn’t quite look the same though.”
Another post accused the Duchess of deliberately imitating Diana, stating: “Meghan Markle is obsessed with cosplaying Diana.”
However, a different user pushed back against the criticism and praised both women.
They wrote: “Isn't she gorgeous[?] Princess Diana was gorgeous.
“Meghan stands out in a crowd because of her energy, which many won't understand and can't be copied
“Nothing beats internal beauty… It comes from a good place… And arrives without fanfare.”
Princess Diana was often snapped wearing backless one-pieces. That said, there is nothing in Meghan’s original post to suggest that the swimwear was chosen as a tribute, and the claimed resemblance hasn’t been officially confirmed since.
The discussion also represented only a small part of a much wider collection of family memories.
Whichever way, it doesn’t take away from the other quaint memories shown off in Markle’s new collection of snaps. For instance, one photograph showed Meghan walking hand in hand with Lilibet towards turquoise waters, while another captured Archie barefoot in a field at sunset.
A further image showed Harry walking with Archie and Lilibet through the grounds believed to be Althorp (as pointed out by People), the Northamptonshire estate where Princess Diana spent part of her childhood.
Harry and Archie appeared to be carrying flowers as they walked along the tree-lined route. Diana was buried on an island within the estate following her death in 1997.
The post came after the family reportedly spent time in Europe and briefly visited the UK earlier this month.
