Fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have only just spotted a never-before-seen photo of their two children despite it being public for years months.

Now, back in December, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sent out a card for the festive period featuring six snaps with one seeing the likes of Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, making an appearance.

The card's message read: "On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation.

"We wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year."

The royals also sent out holiday cards to their family and friends - one recipient being none other than decorated feminist, Gloria Steinem.

In early December, Architectural Digest gave fans of the social activist a look inside her New York City residence.

However, people are only now just realising that a previously unseen photo of Harry and Meghan, along with their kids, was displayed on a side table.

The sweet family snap in question was black-and-white and showed the family-of-four smiling while lying down in the grass.

People reports that the photo was inside the private holiday card that the couple sent to their close friends and family back in 2023.

Fans have since rushed to social media to share their reactions to the previously unnoticed picture with one X user writing: "Someone

spotted this yesterday, it is a photo that was on a side table in Gloria Steinem's home, it featured in an article about the home's interior published in December 24.

"No one noticed until now."

Responding to trolls who somehow found something to complain after seeing the unearthed photo, a second defended: "#HarryandMeghan didn't release the photo of their kids on Insta for PR, so stop attacking them.

"The photo was on a table in Gloria Steinem's home in an Architectural Digest article from Dec. It was someone at AD or at GS's home who released it."

According to a close friend of the Sussexes, the reason why Harry and Meghan previously didn't include their children in Christmas cards before the one sent out last year was to 'protect their privacy'.

They told People: "Harry has been reluctant to show his children publicly, not out of a desire to hide them but to protect their privacy and safety from potential threats.

"He wants them to lead as normal a life as possible without the fear of kidnapping or harm."
