Meghan Markle's outfit for a Netflix party over the weekend has caused quite the stir - and fans have been forced to defend her.
Now, we know that some trolls will jump on anything the Duchess of Sussex does to throw hate in her direction, and this may be one of those instances.
Meghan, 44, and Prince Harry, 41, attended Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos' Beef season two event on Friday (10 April) to celebrate the new series of the American comedy drama, which will drop on the streaming platform on 16 April.
Also in attendance at the star-studded party were cast members Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny, as well as the Emmy-winning creator Lee Sung Jin.

Photos of the celebrity-filled soiree show Meghan wearing a stunning chartreuse satin gown with brown sandals, while her royal hubby opted for a navy suit paired with a white shirt.
According to the website What Meghan Wore, the dress cost $715 from Heidi Merrick – the 'Gale’ gown in Chartreuse, to be specific. However, as mentioned, the gown appears to have caused quite a ruckus as some people are convinced there was a dress code that the Duchess strayed against.
This is because a lot of the guests appeared to be wearing black and white, and coincidentally, Beef star Carey Mulligan was also wearing a similar chartreuse gown.
Someone claimed on Reddit: "The dress code was black and white because the star of BEEF wore chartreuse -and she was the only one that was supposed to. Just sharing this bit of info in case anyone was wondering why Meghan was wearing such a strange color. Meghan was trying to upstage the actual star."
While a second person agreed: "Does it say that anywhere? I do think it's interesting that every single person seems to be wearing black, white, and brown....except Carey and Meghan lol.

"Even if there's no confirmation, it does seem like she ignored a dress code."
And a third wrote: "Only the guest of honour was supposed to wear colour, the rest were to wear neutral shades. But not, M, she arrives in a chartreuse dress!"
However, no one knows where the bizarre 'dress code' claim actually originated from, and as fans of Meghan have pointed out, other people were wearing greens, blues, and other colours.
One social media user argued: "I don’t believe in those X accounts that (without evidence or confirmation, just speculation) say there was a 'black and white dress code,' as there were many other guests wearing blue, light blue, brown, and even green."

While a second wrote: "Unsurprised that the same dumb people who believed Ted Sarandos wouldn't speak to Meghan Markle without a lawyer, also believe that she crashed the party and broke some kind of dress code without any evidence of that either."
A third pointed out: "My question is how could she have found out in advance what Carey's color would be?"
And a fourth agreed: "Do you actually believe the stuff you post? Get a life. People are allowed to wear whatever color they want to a party."
