Detail in Meghan Markle’s name on jumbotron with Prince Harry sparks awkward reaction

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had the best seats in the house for game four of baseball’s World Series on Tuesday (28 October) - and they even got a shoutout on the jumbotron. But royal fans have been enraged by one small detail.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex donned blue caps to cheer on the LA Dodgers for the highly-anticipated sports game.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that they managed to bag seats in front of former basketball player Magic Johnson and former baseball pitcher Sandy Koufax from their highly coveted seats, said to be worth tens of thousands of dollars.

However, it wasn't the result they hoped for as the Toronto Blue Jays beat their team of the choice, the LA Dodgers, with a final score of 6-2.

It was impossible for the royal couple to escape the spotlight during this outing, given their front and central seats, and being shown on the jumbotron didn't exactly help.

The giant screen broadcast all of the celebrities in attendance, including Red Hot Chili Peppers star Flea, actors Brad Pitt, James Marsden and Ken Jeong, musician Will.i.am, and more.

Typically, the screen pans to where the famous faces are sitting for a few second and pops their name on the screen for attendees who may not be familiar.

During Meghan and Harry's jumbotron moment, which has been well documented on social media, the screen reads: "Prince Harry and Meghan."

Fans quickly picked up on this detail, questioning why the former Suits actress' full name or title wasn't used at all.

One Twitter user shared a clip of the moment and joked: "Calling her only ‘Meghan’ without a title is taking me out!! "

While a second added: "The name on the Jumbotron was Prince Harry and Meghan. You know she had to be upset about no title and Harry was finally first."

And a third chimed in with: "Oh dear, it's Meghan Markle now, no title no Sussex either. Things are not looking good."

A fourth wrote "And the caption was 'Prince Harry and Meghan'. No title for Meghan Markle."

And a fifth brutally quipped: "Prince Harry and Meghan. Bet she was more unhappy about the lack of her title on screen than the boos."

Someone else even pulled up an old photo of Kate Middleton and Prince William on the jumbotron at a previous separate sports game, where they were referred to as 'The Prince and Princess of Wales'.

One person angrily quipped: "They got W&C title correctly. Last night they said Prince Harry&Meghan for the delusional duo."

According to MailOnline, Harry and Meghan met with a mix of boos and cheers from the crowd as they were shown on the jumbotron.

One social media user recalled: "Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just came on the big screen and the crowd booed them! I think I'd cry if that happened to me."

However, others argued: "I couldn’t really hear any booing, unfortunately" and "I can’t hear the boos."
